ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Ada Laverne Cromer, age 70, of 3694 McMickle Road, died late Thursday evening at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 PM, Sunday, April 29, 2012 in the Tazewell Cemetery. Rev. David Chapman will officiate.
Mrs. Cromer was born September 7, 1941 in Marion County, GA, the daughter of the late Virginia Bryan Icard and the late Uylus Icard. She was a bus driver for the Schley County school system until her retirement after 27 years. Mrs. Cromer was also a member of Tazewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Cromer; two sons and daughters in law, Wayne and Dawn Cromer of Ellaville, Neal and Tracy Cromer of Ellaville; two sisters and brothers in law, Dianah and Chris McCorkle of Tazewell, GA, Glynda and Doug Watson of Ellaville; three brothers and sisters in law, Harold and Kay Icard of Culloden, GA, Lafayette and Dianne Icard of Orange Park, FL, Steve and Denise Icard of Norwood Young America, MN. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Patrick Cromer, Ryan Cromer, Brandilyn Cromer, Jaycob Cromer, and Kerri Cromer.
Pallbearers will include Jim Sellars, Jimmy Harrison, Anthony Tyler, Russell Tyler, Whit Currington, Tony Underwood, and Brian Dillard. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 28 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA.
