Adele B. DeVane

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Adele B. DeVane, age 94, formerly of Ellaville, died Friday evening, November 15, 2013 at Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry, GA.  Funeral Services will be held graveside at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 18, 2013 in the Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Tom Teate will officiate.

      Mrs. DeVane was born February 18, 1919 in Schley County, Georgia and was the daughter of Robert R. Bivins and Leila May Bivins. She had worked at Manhattan Shirt Factory in Americus, GA.  Mrs. DeVane was a member of the Rainbow Garden Club and a member at Hopewell United Methodist Church.

    Survivors include one daughter Patricia Carper and husband Bill of Bonaire, GA; two granddaughters, Ginger Watson of Adel, GA, Kaye Utley and husband, Barry of Madison, GA; and one grandson, Jeff Watson and wife Libby of Ashville, NC. Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents, Mrs. DeVane was preceded in death by her husband Edgar DeVane, Sr., sister, Mary Shippey and grandson, Eddie Watson. 

      Visitation will be held 1:00 pm till service time at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.  Active pallbearers will include Barry Utley, Jeff Watson, Christopher Utley, Brent Utley, and Kessler Watson.
