Angel Mendez

Mr. Angel Mendez, 91, of Box Springs, GA, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015, at his residence.

Mr. Mendez was born October 22, 1923, in Lares, Puerto Rico to Nicasio Mendez and Maria Hernandez.  The Patriarch of his family, he loved spending time with them. In addition to being an excellent dominos player, Mr. Mendez enjoyed building. He made guitars and loved music and singing. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife of over 50 years, Carmen Rios Mendez and two daughters, Lillian Mendez and Aida Mendez.

He is survived by four children, Angel Mendez, Wanda Torres, David Mendez (Aida) and Eric Mendez (Janet). Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.
