Anita Pilcher Taylor

Mrs. Anita Joyce Pilcher Taylor, 73, of Buena Vista, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, Georgia. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Smith officiating. Friends are welcome to attend the service but must follow social distancing. Serving as active pallbearers will be Logan Burdwell, Garrett Harris, Guy Monkus, Richard Coe, Gabriel Tosado, and Gary Kirby.

Mrs. Taylor was born January 2, 1947, to Tillman Jasper Pilcher, Sr. and Florrie Mae Howard Pilcher. A lifelong resident of Marion County, GA, she was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor retired from Breezeway where she was a Social Services Tech. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Taylor, a son, Rusty Taylor, two brothers, Rainey Pilcher and Donnie Pilcher and a sister, Christine Parker.

She is survived by two daughters, Wendy and Mike Blount and Tammi Taylor and Jesse Gutierrez all of Buena Vista, GA; by a brother and sister-in-law, T. J. and Judy Pilcher of Buena Vista, GA two sisters, Becky Durham of Waycross, GA, and Linah and Taylor Neighbors of Americus, GA; brothers-in-law, Wesley and Brenda Taylor and C. L. Parker, all of Buena Vista, GA;  four grandchildren, Taylor, Quinn, Allisa, and Chelsea; and two great-grandchildren Maisie and Peyton.
