Ann C. Watson

Mrs. Ann C. Watson, 78, of Mauk, Ga, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at New Providence Baptist Church with Rev. David Chapman officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall of New Providence Baptist Church beginning at 1:00PM. Burial will follow the service at Five Points Cemetery.

Mrs. Watson was born in Butler, GA, to Frank and Sallie Mae Hayes Callier. She retired after 25 years with the USDA/Farm Services Agency as a Program Technician. Mrs. Watson served on the Marion County School Board for 30 years and thoroughly enjoyed it.  She enjoyed reading and working in the yard on her flowers and plants. Mrs. Watson was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, William Callier, Clarence Callier, Robert Callier, Joyce Turner, Lilton Rigsby, Lillian Bassett, Reba Callier, Abby Callier, and Imajean Callier.

She is survived by her husband Gary Watson of Mauk, GA; by her children, Bryan Watson, Tracy Watson and Jennifer Stewart; by her grandchildren, Juliann Watson, Rachel Watson, Cameron Stewart, Kennedy Stewart, Braden Stewart, Kailah McTaggart, and Kelci Benford; and by a great-grandchild, Addie Ray McTaggart. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to New Providence Baptist Church.
