ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Annie Lucile James, age 89, of 354 Bridges Store Road, Ellaville, GA died Monday, March 19, 2012. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Springhill Freewill Baptist Church in Marion Co., GA with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Brian Fuller and Reverend Richard Taylor will officiate.

Mrs. James was born November 18, 1922 in Marion County, GA, the daughter of Joseph and Jessica Wall Tyler. She worked at Manhattan for many years and retired from Gertrude Davenport Factory in Americus, GA. Mrs. James was a member of Springhill Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. James was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Houston James, son, David James, son in laws, Benny Curlee, Hugh Flynt, Lee Durham, grandson, Harold Curlee, and sister, Myrtle Greer.

Survivors include one son and daughter in law, William and Linda James of Ellaville, GA; five daughters and two son in laws, Carolyn Curlee of Buena Vista, GA, Lillian Flynt of Ellaville, GA, Grace and Mitch Grant of Americus, GA, Louise Durham of Ellaville, GA and Elaine and Richard Taylor of Americus, GA; and one brother and sister in law Louis and Peggy Tyler of Juniper, GA. Eighteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, March 21, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.

Pallbearers will include William James, Jr., Rodney Flynt, Robin James, Chris James, Dusty James, Tommy Howell, Phil Howell, Alan White, Wade Harper, and Richard Green.

Watson-Giddens Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
