Anthony Clinton "Clint" Long, Sr.

Ellaville — Mr. Anthony Clinton “Clint” Long, Sr. of 346 Trice Rd., Ellaville, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013.  Funeral services will be held at Ellaville Baptist Church on Monday, December 16 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Ben Foxworth, Rev. Earl Dunmon and Rev. Tom Teate officiating.  The family will greet friends beginning at 2:00 PM on Monday at the Ellaville Baptist Church, until 4:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Ellaville City Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Phillip Exley, Clay Comer, Jerry Hillhouse, Shane Allegood, Nate Herron Anthony Dragoin, Billy Lightner and Shane Tondee.  Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Murrah, Noah VanZant, Logan Pilcher, Glenn Pilcher, Logan Schofield, Knox Theus, Tyler Lynn, Dustin Sullivan, Jacob Dillard, Braxton Crews, Doug Goodin, Jarret Long, Jacob Long, Gavyn Crawford and Nate Long.

Clint was born April 14, 1973 in Terrell County, GA to Larry Dean Long, Sr. and Sandra Gail Blankenship Long.  He worked as department manager at Lowe’s, but was well known for having owned and operated the Little Red Barn in Ellaville for several years. Clint was a former member of the Ellaville City Council and was also a member of the Christian Fellowship Church.  He was also a basketball and baseball coach with the Ellaville-Schley County Recreation Department.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Lauren Paige Dunmon Long of Ellaville; a son, Anthony Clinton Long, Jr.; a daughter, Gloria Lucille Long; two brothers, Dean Long and his wife, Miranda of Ellaville and Greg Long and his wife, Colette of Americus; his parents, Larry Dean, Sr. and Sandra Gail Long of Ellaville; his father and mother-in-law, Earl and Gloria Dunmon of Americus; sisters-in-law, Heidi and her husband, Doug Goodin of Americus and Marri and her husband George Haggerty of Leesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
