Aubry "Butch" Waters

Aubry “Butch” Waters, 72, of Box Springs, GA, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA,

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at 11:00am in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Grimsley officiating. Burial will follow the service at Parmer Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, from 6:00-8:00pm.

Mr. Waters was born June 27, 1943, in Lee County, GA, to Ed A. and Emma Lucille McGlamry Waters.  He had been employed at a service station. He enjoyed fishing and working on lawnmowers.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Ruby Grimsley, Truman Waters, Stacy Waters, Robert Waters, and Rufus “Tom” Waters, by 3 great-grandchildren, Bryce Alexander Aide, Cayden Joseph Aide and Amelia Grace-Michelle Aide.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Duncan Waters of Box Springs, GA; by two sons, Roland Aubry & Donnita Waters of Buena Vista, GA, and Ronald Fred Waters of Box Springs, GA; by two daughters, Trudy Geneva Yvonne and David Thompkins of Tazewell, GA, and Martha Jayne and Mathew B. Gaydosh of Buena Vista, GA; three sisters, Linda Faye Coe of Ellaville, GA, Lorene Weaver of Box Springs, GA, Audry & Ralph Forsyth of Jonesboro, TN; seven grandchildren, Tabatha Ashley and Jason Houston, Joshua David Ryan Thompkins, Jacob Burel Gaydosh and Beth Byers, Nikole Marie and Tracy Aide, Casey Adam Patrick Thompkins, Mathew Trevor Gaydosh  and Amber Dawn Waters; four great-grandchildren, McKenzie Tina-Marie Aide, Teagan Trey-Burel Gaydosh, Tatum Aubrey Houston, Chloe Kaedance Reese and one great-grandchild soon to be here, Bristol Madison Aide. Several Nieces, Nephews, and Friends also survive.
