WARNER ROBINS, GA --- Mr. Benjamin Franklin Peavy, age 80, of 103 Maxwell Drive, Warner Robins, GA, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home with burial to follow in the County Line Methodist Church Cemetery. Chaplain Delois Reese will officiate.
Mr. Peavy was born July 16, 1931 in Royston, Georgia the son of Lois Odel Wilbanks Peavy and Wade Hampton Peavy. He served four years in the Marines during the Korean Conflict, was a painter and carpenter and a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Jean McCoy Peavy; four daughters and their husbands, Traci Smith and Ed of Ellaville, GA, Tina Heath and Boyette of Ellaville, GA, Tammy Van Dyke and Ellis of Americus, GA, and Tonya Johnson and Jeff of Warner Robins, GA; two sisters Betty Patton and Nellie Magaha both of South Carolina. Sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Mr. Peavy was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Brenda Sue Peavy and Trish Elizabeth Peavy.
Active pallbearers will include Ed Smith, Boyette Heath, Anthony Foltz, Justin Johnson, Aaron Peavy, Nathan Smith, Colleen Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Ellis Van Dyke, Codie Peavy, and Katie Davis.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 6 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
