Berry S. Teele

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Berry S. Teele, age 85 of Ellaville, GA, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Ellaville cemetery.  Rev. Jamie Snider and Rev. Mark Poole will officiate.

      Mr. Teele was born April 23, 1928 in Schley County, Georgia and was the son of Berry and Annie Teele. He retired from General Motors Corporation.  He began working with Mr. Lawton Giddens at Giddens Funeral Home in 1986 and continued working with Watson-Giddens Funeral Home until his death.  He also served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  Mr. Teele was an active member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  He was a member of American Legion Post 191 and the Spirit of Suwannee Campgrounds.  Mr. Teele loved to listen and play bluegrass music as well as camping with his wife.

    Mr. Teele is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Jean Teele; one son, Berry H. Teele and wife, Janet of Ellaville; one daughter, Deborah Coker and husband Billy of Oglethorpe, GA; one sister, Marie Richardson and husband, Hugh of Marietta, GA. Grandchildren, Eric Lane, Ashley Coker and wife Tiffany, Lance Teele and wife Vicki, Caleb Teele and wife Jenni also survive along with great grandchildren, Shelby Lane, Austin Coker, Aiden Coker, Madison Coker, Tuck Teele, Jacey Teele and Ellie Mae Teele.

      Active pallbearers will include Eric Lane, Ashley Coker, Lance Teele, Caleb Teele, Zack Bulloch, and Terry Layfield.  Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

     Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.  Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 38 Possum Trot Road, Ellaville, GA 31806.
