Beverly Peavy

Beverly Peavy, 83, of Buena Vista, GA, formerly of Maryville, LA, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Magnolia Manor of Marion County.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday April 13, 2015, at Buena Vista Cemetery with Fr. Nick Mansell officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 12, 2015, from 5:00-6:00PM and Rosary will follow at 6:00PM.

Mrs. Peavy was born on November 7, 1931, in Via Frontia Quila, Mexico, to Francisco Gonzalez and Demetria Rodriguez. She was Catholic by faith and had worked as a nurse early in life. She moved to the area eight years ago from Maryville, LA.  Mrs. Peavy was a homemaker and she enjoyed crocheting and making knick knacks and was a good cook. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Peavy, of Buena Vista, GA; by a son, Dr. Samuel T. Peavy and wife Julia of Americus, GA; by a daughter, Rebecca Sue Pope of Cincinnati, OH; by two grandchildren, Joseph Allen Pope and Gracelyn Nicole Bien and her husband Michael and by a great-granddaughter, Isabella Avelina Bien.
