Billy Brooks Jones

Mr. Billy Brooks Jones, 77, passed away in Virginia Beach, VA on May 28, 2015.  Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 3:00 PM in Brantley United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Vaughn officiating.  Visitation will be held in Brantley United Methodist Church on Sunday from 2:00 – 3:00 PM.  Pallbearers will be his nephews, Tracy Jones, Jason Jones, Barry Jones, Reggie Jones, Spencer Jones and David Jones.

Mr. Jones was born March 27, 1938 in Marion County, to the late Grady E. Jones and Claudia Clements Jones.  He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Tallahassee, FL. He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Mr. Jones was retired from Florida Power Company as an electrical engineer.  He was a member of the Rotary Club and enjoyed reading, listening to music, golfing and hunting.  Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a sister, Marian Morgan.

Survivors include his two daughters, Amber and Dr. Michael Stewart of Virginia Beach, VA and Ashley Jones of Tallahassee, FL; three brothers, Bobby Jones and his wife, Loxi of Buena Vista, GA, Douglas Jones of Chattanooga, TN and Nelson Jones and his wife, Margaret of Harris County, GA; two grandchildren, Samuel Brooks Stewart and Claire Elizabeth Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.
