Bobby L. Stubbs

Bobby L. Stubbs, 58, of Box Springs, GA, died Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Wellstar Community Hospice in Austell, GA.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at New Life Baptist Church with Reverend Bryan Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM. Serving as active pallbearers will be Daniel Stubbs, Curtis Fritz, T. J. Jacobs, Jimmy Chomo, Scotty Irving, Danny Widner, Jamie McCardle and Greg Fuller. Billy Stubbs and Joe Stubbs will serve as Honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Stubbs was born in Talbotton, GA, on March 17, 1953, to James and Ruby Stubbs. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and Baptist by faith. He was employed with the Marion County Road Department.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Stubbs of Snellville, GA; by a son, Daniel L. Stubbs of Box Springs, GA; by two daughters, Elizabeth J. Stubbs of Smyrna, GA, and Melissa A. Stubbs of Snellville, GA; by two brothers, Joe Stubbs and Billy Stubbs; by three sisters, Dolly Welch and Martha Chomo, both of Box Springs, GA, and Ann Byrnes of San Jose, CA; and a brother-in-law, Curtis W. Fritz of Camp Hill, PA. Two grandsons, Skylar Stubbs and Gavyn Stubbs and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these arrangements.
