Carl Huston Foster

Mr. Carl Huston Foster, 70, Columbus, GA, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 11:00am in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Prather officiating. Burial will follow the service at New Life Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service time.

Mr. Foster was born August 21, 1943, in Columbus, GA, to Grady Eugene and Essie Mae Lumpkin Foster.  He was employed by Bill Heard Chevrolet.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Melba Hudson, Bobby Foster, Irene Underwood, Virginia Frost, and Lucius Foster.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Faye Foster of Columbus, GA; by his children, Wendy Foster White (Harold) and Teresa Foster Carter (Billy), all of Columbus, GA, and Johnny Carl Foster (Cassie) of Savannah, GA;  by three sisters, Gladys Foster of Huntsville, AL, Frances and William Underwood of Columbus, GA, and Christine and Larry Grier of Buena Vista, GA; by grandchildren, Phillip Lee Foster, Alesha Denise Spellman, Alexis Nichole White, Madison Alexis Bell, Aubrey Morgan Grant, June Ann Carter, Houston Jackson Carter, and Bryson Kayne Foster.
