Carol Martin

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Carol Ilene Martin, age 73, of Ellaville, GA died late Tuesday evening, July 5, 2016 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Unity Christian Fellowship.  Rev. Clifford Braxton will officiate. 

      Mrs. Martin was born July 14, 1942 in Birmingham, AL and was the daughter of Raymond and Idele Grimmett. While living in Florida, Mrs. Martin and her husband owned their own business where she was the office manager.  She enjoyed cooking, flowers, gardening and watching home and garden shows.   Mrs. Martin was a member of Unity Christian Fellowship.

      Survivors include her husband, John Martin; two daughters, Renee Bryant and husband Hatler of Troy, OH, Debra Cole and husband Jason, of Ocala, FL; three sons, Jeffrey Lane and wife Tammy of Citra, FL, Randy Lane of Lynne, FL, Kevin Lane and wife Samantha of Daytona Beach, FL.  Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, Angela Warner, Jeffrey Lane, Karl Lane, Justin Lane, Erika Lane, Jennifer Lane, Luke Cole, Jacob Cole, Shelby Defour, Brandon Jacobs, Jaden Jacobs, Autumn Lane, Brianna Jay and one great grandchild, Layne.  Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Grimmett and a daughter in law, Alma Lane.

       Visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
