Cayce Harold Phillips

Mr. Cayce Harold Phillips, Jr., 88, of Ellaville passed away at his residence on April 30, 2023.  Graveside services will be held at Poplar Springs Cemetery in Preston, GA on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Elder Dennis Johnson officiating.  The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mr. Phillips was born January 16, 1935 in Atlanta, GA to Cayce Harold, Sr. and Lucy Celone Head Phillips.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and he loved to fish for catfish.  Mr. Phillips attended Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouses, Betty Jean Nowell Phillips and his Claudia Dolores Phillips, and a daughter, Debra Phillips.

He is survived by two sons, Andy Phillips and his wife, Cathy and Paul Phillips; step-children, Franklin Allen Aldridge, Joseph Allen Aldridge, Geraldine and Randy Moates, Beverly Louise Aldridge, and Renee and Chris McLendon; siblings, John David Phillips, Raymond Phillips, Dorothy Copeland, Grace Long (Frank), Reba Scott, Ruby Aldridge (Max), and Cynthia Sellers (Royce); sisters-in-law, Lisa Nowell, Catherine Moore (Mercer) and Sandra Walls; a brother-in-law, Elder Clayton Nowell (Nancy); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
