Cecil E. Albritton, Sr.

Mr. Cecil E. Albritton, Sr., 69, of Ellaville, GA, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Shema Baptist Church with Rev. Troy Fripp officiating. Burial will follow the service in Ellaville City Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 24, 2021, from 6:00-8:00PM. Serving as active pallbearers will be Cecil “Bitty” Albritton, III, Dakota Albritton, Robert Albritton, Shannon McBee, Danny Cook, and Phillip Albritton. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Hoffman, Michael Sheffield, Memphis Storm Hoffman, Steve Hale, and Johnathan Avery.

Mr. Albritton was born in Montgomery, AL, on March 26, 1952, to Cecil Edmund and Emma Lucille Nelson Young.  He was self-employed as a truck driver. Mr. Albritton was Baptist by faith and enjoyed boating, camping, and scuba diving.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Paula Albritton of Ellaville, GA; by three sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and Lisa Albritton, Jr., Robbie and Pam Albritton, and Brandon and Kate Albritton, all of Ellaville, GA; two brothers, Raymond Albritton of Douglas, GA, and Scooter and Kristy Albritton of Americus, GA; two sisters, Renea and Scott Clevenger of Macon, GA, and Patricia Albritton and Steve Adams of Americus, GA; grandchildren, Robert Albritton, Cecil “Bitty” Albritton, III, Lauran Albritton, Dakota Albritton, Anna Albritton, and Jack Albritton; and great-grandchildren, Ellie Sheffield and Dawson Sheffield.
