Charles Robert Brown

Charles Robert “Doodlebug” Brown, 69, of Ellaville, passed away at his residence on July 17, 2022.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Way-Watson Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Cromer officiating.  Burial will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mr. Brown was born February 13, 1953 in Schley County, GA to Charles W. Brown and Katie Cain Brown.  He loved driving trucks, hunting, fishing and taking care of his animals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Denise Brown, a granddaughter, Robin Richards, a grandson, Treyvarrious Brown and a sister, Paula Brown Kelly.

Survivors include his son, Robert “Kojack” Christopher Brown and his wife, Michele of Oglethorpe; two daughters, Gwen Lake and her husband, Christopher, Sr., and Melissa Brown, both of Oglethorpe; seven grandchildren, Denise Harris, Christopher Brown, Isaiah Brown, Jacob Brown, Christopher Lake, Jr., Aliyah Lake, and Aniah Lake; three great-grandchildren, Cameron and Garrett Brown, and Maddy Richards; three uncles, Charlie Cain, Homer Cain and Lee Johnson; and lifelong friend, Margie Powell.
