Charles Reuben Dent, Jr.

Charles Reuben Dent, Jr., age 75, went home to be with his Lord, our Savior, November 29, 2012.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012, in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home at 2:00PM with Reverend A. R. Curlee officiating. Burial will follow the service in Geneva City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Charles was born August 18, 1937, to Charles Reuben, Sr. and Irma Grace Dent. He enjoyed a successful career with Dent-Cargill, working in the poultry division, traveling to different cities and meeting many people. Charles was a member of the Oakland Church of God and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and a game of Rummy. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Reuben and Irma Grace Dent and his loving son. Charles “Chuck” Dent III.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lera Dent, by his step-mother, Frances Dent, and by one brother and 8 sisters. Survivors also include his three children, Vincent, Jeneane, and Mary Grace; 8 Grandchildren, Erica, Ben, JD, Stephanie, Diana, Lindsey, Bubba, and Kayla and 5 Great- Grandchildren, Keylie, Keegan, Emma, Jaxson, and Ryals, and many other nieces and nephews.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these arrangements.
