Charlotte Ann Myrick

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Charlotte Ann Myrick, age 78, of 136 Raybon Road, Ellaville, GA died early Thursday morning, March 19, 2009 at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Troy Fripp will officiate.
Mrs. Myrick was born April 18, 1930 in Fulton Co. the daughter of Edward Lamar Stephens and Flossie Marcena Stephens. Mrs. Myrick was a homemaker and served as a school crossing guard. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and attended the Ellaville Senior Citizen Center. Mrs. Myrick was preceded in death by her husbands, General Wesley Myrick and John Issac Cates; and daughter, Donna Bryson.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Cates and wife Boon of San Antonio, TX, Michael Cates of Richland, GA; two daughters, Laurie Wright and husband Steve of Jackson, GA, Toni Christian and husband Wallace of Convington, GA; and one sister, Marilyn Harrison of Griffin, GA. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will include Gary Cates, Jr., Jimmy McGraw, Robbie Myrick, Steve Wesley, Pete Yarbrough, and Al Eason.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home.
