Christine Snyder

Christine Wells Snyder, 85, of Phenix City, AL, formerly of Buena Vista, GA, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Union United Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Meadows and Reverend Bruce Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow the service in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 1, 2013, from 6-8 PM.

Ms. Snyder was born in Marion County, GA, on November 2, 1927, to Mattie Lou Wells Dillard. She was Methodist by faith and was a member of Union United Methodist Church.  She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She was a housewife. In addition to her parents, Mattie Lou Wells Dillard and Robert (Bob) Dillard, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tully Snyder, 2 sons, Joe Haden and Billy Haden and by a son-in-law, Brother Clarence “Red” Cottrell.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby & Elsie Haden; by a daughter, Cheryll Cottrell, all of Phenix City, AL; by 2 daughters-in-law, Debbie Haden of Salem, AL, and Kathy Godwin of Phenix City, AL; by 14 Grandchildren, Trina Culpepper, Alex Haden, Davy Haden, Ashley Haden, Cody Haden, Mackey Nutter, Ty LaValley, Mickey LaValley, Troy LaValley, Billy Haden, Robert “Bubba” Haden, James “Scooter” Haden, Marcus Shane Haden and Crystal Haden, and by numerous great-grandchildren.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these arrangements.
