David A. Albritton, 60 of Panama City, Florida formerly of Montezuma, GA, died January 18, 2022, in Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at County Line Baptist Church, 6716 GA HWY 240 East, Ellaville, Ga. with Rev. Mark Poole officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of the service at the church.
David was born on May 12, 1961 as the third son of the late Richard A. Albritton and Betty Jean Clark Albritton in Sumter County, Americus, GA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kelly Rebecca “Becky” Albritton, who passed away on August 26, 2021.
David was raised in Montezuma, GA where he was a member of First Baptist Church of Montezuma and graduated from Macon County High School in 1979. He later attended Columbus Technical College and studied EMS and Paramedic training, where he graduated in 1993 with honors. He worked for Peach County EMS and Macon County EMS as a Paramedic for many years. He also worked as a butcher for several grocery stores in Macon and Schley counties. He later worked at Lowes in Tifton and attended Celebrate Recovery worship services. David was an accomplished bass guitarist and played in several local bands including The Missing Links and Slaughter Creek.
He is survived by his daughters; Leanne Albritton of Cordele, Jordyn Albritton and Jenna Albritton, of Taylor County, his son J. C. Albritton of Leesburg, his brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Karen Albritton of Chula, John Albritton of Fort Valley and Scott and Cyndi Albritton of Ellaville. He is also survived by two step daughters, Melissa Ann Nash of Leesburg and Rachel Michelle Massey of Montezuma.
