David E. Menck

Mr. David E. Menck, 82, passed away on May 18, 2014 in Buena Vista, Georgia. 

Mr. Menck was born February 28, 1932 to the late Harold C. Menck and Myrle Blumenthal Menck in Grand Island, Nebraska.  He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Freemont, Nebraska.  Mr. Menck was a Mason and a member of the Telephone Pioneers.  He was an avid Nebraska Corn Husker fan.  Mr. Menck enjoyed volunteering his time to Meals on Wheels and the Low Income Ministry.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Fae Noakes Menck, a brother, Harold “Sonny” Menck and a sister, Ila Stratton.

Survivors include his three daughters, Nancy Barnes of Buena Vista, GA, Karen Ernesti of Pauls Valley, OK and Sharon Fordham of Pauls Valley, OK; eight grandchildren, Heather Rhodes, Rebecca Barnes, Jennifer Chicoine, David Ernesti, Amy Sweeney, Stephanie Kracke, William Schwartz and Sam L. Schwartz; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
