David Earl "Red Dog" Williamson

Mr. David Earl “Red Dog” Williamson, 67, of Cusseta, GA passed away at his residence on Thursday, February 6, 2014.  Memorial services will be held in the chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lee Halvorson officiating.

Mr. Williamson was born February 13, 1946 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Dorsey L. Williamson and Peggy Louise Leonard Williamson.  Mr. Williamson was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and a member of Glenn Anthony Baptist Church.  He was an all-around sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.  Mr. Williamson was an avid football fan. 

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Claudia Williamson of Cusseta, GA; a son, Darrin Williamson and his wife, Amanda of Cusseta, GA; two daughters, Jennifer D. Williamson and Laci L. Williamson, both of Cusseta, GA; eight grandchildren, Logan Williamson, Dawson Williamson, Lucas Williamson, Hayley Williamson, Kirsten Williford, Tanner Sizemore, Antasia Williamson and Antonio Williamson; three brothers, Larry Williamson and his wife Suzanne of Columbus, GA, Danny Ray Williamson and his wife, Angela of Cusseta, GA and Wayne Williamson and his wife, Christy of Cataula, GA. 

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these arrangements.
