Delbert C. Rodeheaver, 76, of Buena Vista, GA, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 15, 2011.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, October 17, 2011 at New Providence Baptist Church with Reverend David Chapman officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Jeffrey Rodeheaver, Craig Aide, Tracy Aide, Jamie Fiscus, Chanse Hudgens, and Wesley Cook. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM.
Mr. Rodeheaver was born April 23, 1935, in Athens, GA, to Rosa Lee Kittle and Delbert C. Rodeheaver, Sr. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. He had served in the Army and had been employed as a Steam Fitter Plumber with Army Civil Service. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne T. Rodeheaver of Buena Vista; by three sons, Jim and Barbara Rodeheaver, Joe and Lisa Rodeheaver, all of Buena Vista, and by Greg Rodeheaver of Atlanta; by four daughters, Doris Pierce of Tarpon Springs, FL, Mary and Rusty Aide, Ann and Dennis Melton and Barbara Cook, all of Buena Vista; by three brothers, Pat Rodeheaver of Byron, GA, Waymon Rodeheaver of Texas, and Donald Joe Rodeheaver of Roberta, GA; and by a sister, Annie Ruth Johnston of Macon, GA. 16 Grandchildren, 30 Great-Grandchildren and special caretakers, Mark and Paula Chandler also survive.
Watson-Tante Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
