Denise Lynn Turner

Ms. Denise Lynn Turner, 63, of Mauk, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at her residence. Funeral services will be held AT 10:00AM on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, from 6-8PM.

Ms. Turner was born in Syracuse, NY, on January 19, 1957, to Lawrence Gene Turner and Barbara Londell Wheeler. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. Ms. Turner was employed as a project analyst with TSYS. She had a passion for horses and enjoyed horseback riding. Ms. Turner loved German Shepherds and had previously been a breeder for them. She is preceded in death by her father, and her step-father, Bob Wheeler.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Wheeler of Lancaster,VA; by two daughters, Nicole Merryman and Veronica Merryman, both of Mauk, GA; by two brothers, Robert Wheeler of Lancaster,VA and Patrick Wheeler of Winston-Salem, NC; by a sister, Beth Figuracion of Winston-Salem, NC; by eight grandchildren, Abigail Merryman, Rebekah Pyles, Mia Smith, Sarasue Smith, Elizabeth Walker, Grace Walker, Zachariah McAlum, and Olivia-Rose Merryman; and her companion Dennis Thompson.
