Donna Kay McAllister

Mrs. Donna Kay McAllister, 79, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Magnolia Manor of Buena Vista. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Buena Vista Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating. No viewing is scheduled but if you wish to pay your respects, family and friends may visit with Mrs. McAllister at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista from 11:00AM-12:30PM on Monday before the service.

Mrs. McAllister was born in Oak Lawn, IL, on August 14, 1941, to James and Marion Thompson Raines. She was Baptist by faith and a member of New Providence Baptist Church.  Mrs. McAllister was a homemaker and enjoyed collecting bears, especially panda bears.  She loved shopping, needlepoint and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Wesley McAllister and a brother, Richard Raines.

She is survived by her children, Wendy Cook (Chad) of Columbus, GA, Wesley McAllister (Marie) of Ellaville, GA, Tracy Mattson (Mark) of Pell City, AL, Tim McAllister of Americus, GA, Terry McAllister (Gwen) of Grantville, GA, and Joey McAllister (Rachael) of LaGrange, GA; her half-sister, Jackie Drews of Arizona;  her grandchildren, Brandy Cook, Mandy Cook, Randall Cook (Amanda), Krystal Howell (Tommy), Kandi Van Why (Lucas), Monica Mattson, Reese McAllister, Chase McAllister, Jessica McAllister, and Kaylee McAllister; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Magnolia Manor of Marion County in memory of Mrs. Donna Kay McAllister.
