Dorothy Melinda Wadsworth Al-Azemi

Ms. Dorothy Melinda Wadsworth Al-Azemi, 74, of Mauk, passed away on December 5, 2024, at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Ellaville City Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 PM until service time. Pallbearers will be John Wadsworth, Jessie Anthony, Jackson Woodall, Rick Puente, Jake Forehand, Sam Forehand and Jon Skelly.

Ms. Al-Azemi was born October 16, 1950, to Herman Wadsworth, Sr. and Dorothy Phillips Wadsworth in Butler, GA. She worked in accounting for Reeves Construction Company for 38 years before retiring.  Mrs. Al-Azemi loved all kinds of music, especially gospel.  She enjoyed attending luncheons and get-togethers with close friends and family.  She was an avid reader, and a huge fan of the band, Alabama, having attended several of their June Jam concerts.  Mrs. Al-Azemi also enjoyed trips to the beach and Callaway Gardens.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Wadsworth and Milton Wadsworth.

Survivors include her son, Matt Icard and his wife, Christy of Ellaville, GA; a sister, Montez Woodall and her husband, Jack of Mauk, GA; a brother, Elton Wadsworth of Butler, GA; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
