Dorothy "Dot" Brewer Hambrick

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Brewer Hambrick, 95, of Ellaville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held at Ellaville Baptist Church on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joel Smith, Rev. Mark Poole and Rev. Brett Hambrick officiating. The family will greet friends at the church beginning at 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will include Barry Hambrick, Brett Hambrick, Brian Hambrick, Ryan Peede, Cameron Peede and Hal Dillard.

Mrs. Hambrick was born December 23, 1923, in Schley County, GA to the late Bennett Brewer and Eula Albritton Brewer.  She was a member of Ellaville Baptist Church.  Mrs. Hambrick was a member of the Rainbow Garden Club and enjoyed gardening, canning, and spending time with her family.  She was preceded in death by eight siblings, Marvin Brewer, Fleming Brewer, Fred Brewer, Nan Peacock, Edna Stephens, Ada Tarrer, Ida Wall, and Geraldine Dillard.

Survivors include her son, Benny Hambrick and his wife, Nancy of Quebeck, TN; two daughters, Starr Peede and her husband, Carl of Avon Lake, OH and Carla Tucker of Americus, GA; eight grandchildren, Barry Hambrick (Tracy), Brett Hambrick (Tracy), Brian Hambrick, Melissa Jackson (Kelly), Ryan Peede (Amanda), Janna Kepner (Nate), Cameron Peede, and Hannah Tucker; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family.

The family would like to thank the staff of Phoebe-Sumter Hospice and Innovative Senior Solutions for their amazing care during this difficult time.
