Dorothy J. Mathis Pagan

Mrs. Dorothy J. Mathis Pagan, 79, of Buena Vista, GA passed away on Sunday March 3, 2019 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Michael Crawford officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Buena Vista Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 8, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Mrs. Pagan was born September 26, 1939 to the late Walter Lee Daniel and Linnie Carter Goss Daniels in Franklin, GA.  She was retired from Cooper Lighting after many years.  Mrs. Pagan enjoyed traveling and going on cruises and to amusement parks.  She loved fishing and playing cards, and going to the casino.  She loved spending time with her family and will be missed dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Mathis and a sister, Annie Joyce Daniels

Survivors include her husband, Natividad Pagan, Sr. of Buena Vista, GA; a son Gregory Mathis of Buena Vista, GA; three daughters, Deborah Hines of Americus, GA, Jeanette Mathis Williams of Buena Vista, GA and Lisa Ann Garcia (Jose Emilio) of Andersonville,GA; eight grandchildren, Gregory Mathis, Jr., Shawn Allen Williams, Angela Elow, Dorey Devonte Furlow, Mark Allen Williams, Jr., Kashera Lashay Tymes, Hajii Jones and Kristy Brooks; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
