     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Earlene Guy Greene, 97, of Ellaville, Georgia, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in Ellaville City Cemetery with Kenneth Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00AM.

     Mrs. Greene was born February 18, 1917, in Schley County, Georgia. She was the daughter of John Thomas Guy and Pearl Cromer Guy. She was a loving mother, grandmother sister and aunt. She was Baptist by faith and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She retired from Manhattan Shirt Company 27 years of service.

     She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John and Lisa Greene of Ellaville, Georgia; a sister, Emily Smith of Ellaville, Georgia; and two grandchildren, Meredith Greene and Hannah Greene. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins also survive Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her husband John Thomas Greene, parents John Thomas Guy and Pearl Cromer Guy, two sisters, Mary Lois Guy Smith, Lozia Dee Guy Wall, three brothers William Vinson Guy, John Thelma (Shell) Guy and John Tinsley Guy.

       In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to Schley County Community Foundation, care of Linda Adams, P. O. Box 606, Ellaville, Georgia 31806.

       Watson-Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville, GA is in charge of arrangements.
