Edward Baker

Lois Edward Baker, 68, of Cusseta, Georgia, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Cusseta First Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Hudson and James Morton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 4-6 PM.

Mr. Baker was born June 17, 1943, in Tupelo Mississippi, to Lois Andy and Sallie Adleon Canup Baker. He had worked for Chattahoochee County as a Road Superintendent for over 20 years. Coming from Mississippi, he had been living in the area since 1950. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and he loved taking them fishing. He loved to collect classic cars. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two daughters, Candace B. and Christopher Jewell and Christina Baker Nwadeyi; a brother, James Andrew Baker all of Cusseta, GA; and three grandchildren, Anna Mae Jewell, Harold Nwadeyi and Shawn Jewell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cusseta-Chattahoochee County Fire Department, PO Box 146, Cusseta, Georgia, 31805.
