Mr. Edward Hager, 72, of Mauk, GA, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Hager was born in Cumberland, Maryland, on February 16, 1945, to Edward Warren and Norma Snider Hager. He was passionate about driving trucks and was employed as a truck driver by Waterboyz in Elkton, VA. Mr. Hager enjoyed working on cars and lawn mowers. In his spare time, he liked to hunt and fish and attend Auction 41. Mr. Hager loved music and playing his guitar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Hager.
He is survived by seven children, Edward and Diane Hager of Elkton, VA, Lorraine Hager of Pollock, LA, Lisa and Joe Rodeheaver of Buena Vista, GA, Donna and Freddie Cooper of Buena Vista, GA, Robert and Tracey Hager of Buena Vista, GA, David and Bridgette Hager of Grottoes, VA, and Tracy and Joseph Morris of Cameron, NC; by a brother, Terry and Brenda Hager of West Virginia; a sister, Connie Sue Davis of North Carolina and by 33 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA, is in charge of the arrangements.
