Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Aaron Bowles, 89, of Ellaville, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 2:00PM in Hopewell Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00PM until service time and again following the graveside service.
Mrs. Bowles was born September 14, 1935, in Lynn Haven, FL to Charlie M. and Maggie Brooks Aaron. As a child growing up in Florida, she enjoyed swimming and spending time with her cousins. She married the love of her life in 1952 and often told the story of her love at first sight. Mrs. Bowles enjoyed raising Collies, fishing and working in her yard and garden. Her best times were spending time with her daughter, granddaughters, and great-granddaughter. She especially enjoyed playing with her great-granddaughter, Chandler. She was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 ½ years, Albert M. Bowles; three sisters, Cora Dee Suggs, Pearlee Suggs, and Louise Heath; and two brothers, Rufus Duncan and Jim Duncan.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine Bowles Turner and her husband, Lee; two granddaughters, Alicia Turner and Liana C. Turner Landry and her husband, Russ; a great-granddaughter, Chandler Catherine Enfinger; step-great-granddaughter, Aubrey Landry; She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, including her closest first cousin, Lodene Tate.
