Ella James Jones

Miss Ella James Jones, 1, of Ellaville, passed away bravely after an extended illness at Arthur Blank Children’s Hospital in Atlanta, GA on November 23, 2024. Celebration of life services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Harrison Woods Event Center, 142 GA Hwy 153, Ellaville with Mr. Dennis Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Ellaville City Cemetery with Mr. Tim Estes leading the prayer. Pallbearers will be Braxton Jones, Dennis Jones, Jeb Jones and Jonathan Arwood. Eric Dixon will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. The family will greet friends beginning at 11:00 AM until service time. The family asks that attendees wear casual clothing in bright colors to celebrate her life.

Ella was born April 29, 2023, in Columbus, Georgia to Savana and Braxton Jones. Ella was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome at 2 weeks old, then it was discovered she had the largest genetic deletion of anyone else in the world with Williams Syndrome, but she fought against all odds including open heart surgery and many other diagnoses. Ella died as peacefully as she could in her mama and daddy’s arms. 

Survivors include her parents, Braxton and Savana Jones of Ellaville; her grandparents, Dennis and Karen Jones of Ellaville and Jonathan and Sabrina Arwood of Social Circle, GA; a maternal great-grandmother, Annette Owenby; aunts and uncle, Brooke Arwood, Jersee Arwood, and Jeb and Katie Jones; cousins, Forrest and Woodson Jones and Raelynn White.
