Ella Mae Wilson

Ms. Ella Mae Wilson, 91, of Newnan, GA passed away on December 9, 2021. Graveside services will be held in Ellaville City Cemetery on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Troy Fripp officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 – 1:45 PM with a procession to follow to Ellaville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilson was born June 17, 1930 in Ellaville, Georgia to Lester and Hattie Mae Shirah. Ella Mae lived an incredible life of 91 years. She was a great wife and mother and loved her family fiercely. She didn’t meet a stranger and was a wonderful friend to all who knew her. Ella Mae was retired from Delta Airlines after 28 years of service and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Earl Wilson and a son, Nathan Wayne Wilson.

Survivors include her children, Frazier Lamar Wilson and his wife, Theresa of Ellaville, GA, Sandra W. Turley and her husband, Alvin of Moreland, GA, and Jimmy Rodney Wilson and his wife, Diana of Cochran, GA; a brother, Randall Shirah and his wife, Lucille of LaGrange, GA; eight grandchildren, Yolanda Silvey (Mark), Troy Wilson (Teresa), Wanda Wilson, Tonya Green (Joel), Jason Kelly, Jeremy Kelly, Brian Wilson, and Brandi Wilson (Ray); twenty great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
