Ernest "Ernie" Weaver

Mr. Ernest “Ernie” Eugene Weaver, 50, of Box Springs, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Oakland Church of God at 1:00 PM with Rev. Luke Forsyth officiating. Active pallbearers will be Chris Toomey, Zack Cooper, Steven Lane, Phil Preston, Jessie Allen, and Bo Dozier. Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Argo. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mr. Weaver was born February 18, 1971 to Ernest Norton Weaver and Lorene Waters Weaver in Buena Vista, GA. He was a member of Oakland Church of God. Mr. Weaver loved working outdoors and cutting grass. Anything outdoors was what he loved to do most. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and college football, especially Auburn. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest N. Weaver.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Weaver of Box Springs, GA; his mother, Lorene Weaver of Box Springs, GA; a step-daughter, Tiffany Johnson and her husband, Teddy of Mauk, GA; two sisters, Tonya Preston and her husband, Phil of Buena Vista, GA and Gina Dunnivan and her husband, Gary of Phenix City, AL; two grandchildren, Daniel Argo (Deanna) and Madison Argo; two great-grandchildren, Catelya Argo and Chloe Argo; and several nieces and nephews.
