Euldine "Deane" Mabel Goins

Mrs. Euldine Mable “Deane” Goins, 91, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on February 11, 2023 at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on February 14, 2023  at Buena Vista First Baptist Church, Buena Vista, GA. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM  with Rev. Chris Hess officiating, and burial will follow the service in Buena Vista Cemetery.

Mrs. Goins was born November 4, 1931, in Blakely, GA, to John Alton and Mattie Belle Crawford Mercer. She was self-employed as a pre-school teacher for 31 years before her retirement. Mrs. Goins was an avid gardener whose yard was admired by many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Goins and three brothers, William Alton Mercer, Lawson Mercer, and James Mercer.

Mrs. Goins is survived by two sons, Wallace David Goins (Charlotte R.) of Phenix City, AL, and Jon Mercer Goins of Columbus, GA; by a daughter, Amy Crawford Goins of Columbus, GA; a brother, Dwight D. Mercer (Vera) of Clarkston, GA; two sisters, Janice Simpson-Puckett (Benny) of Macon, GA, and Kay Reich (Mike) of Meridian, MS; three grandchildren, Joshua David Goins (Lana) of Crawford, AL, Annah Mitchell (Cecil) of Salem, AL, and Abigail McLeod (Kohl) of Midland, GA; and two great-grandchildren, Lilly Mitchell and Maggie Mitchell. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.  Special cousins include Candi Crawford and Becky Paull, and the family would also like to acknowledge special caregiver Tracy Crawford Hurlburt.
