Eunice Carolyn Simmons

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Eunice Carolyn Simmons, age 81, of Magnolia Manor, Americus, GA died Friday morning, April 9, 2010 at Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Care in Perry, GA. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 11, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Thomaston, GA, with burial to follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, Macon, GA. Rev. John Hatcher, Terry Davidson, Rev. Bill Barber, and Bro. John Simmons will officiate.
Mrs. Simmons was born February 26, 1929 in Rockmart, GA, the daughter of Beryl Hobbs Cash and Lawrence Cash. She was a homemaker and served side by side with her husband as he pastored churches throughout the United States.
Mrs. Simmons is survived by husband, John T. Simmons of Americus, GA; two daughters and son in laws, Sandra Leah and Joe Ethier of Newnan, GA, Susan and Mark Trail of Newbern, NC; one son and daughter in law, Samuel and Jill Simmons of Columbus, GA. Also surviving are grandchildren, Christina Ethier, Melissa and Wess Barnhouse, Beth and James Ashley Smith, Amanda and Geoff Fletcher, Jonathan Trail, Lily Simmons; great-grandchildren, Dean Trail, Elijah Barnhouse, Johnathan Trail, Gracie Barnhouse, Jacob Smith, William Smith and Misty Trail.
Pallbearers will include Mark Trail, Jonathan Trail, Tim Simmons, Geoff Fletcher, James Ashley Smith, and Joe Ethier. Honorary pallbearers will include John Blevins, Terrell Jackson, Terry Davidson, Jack Reynolds, and Lamar Jordan.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA and one hour prior to the service at First Baptist church of Thomaston, GA.
