Evelyn Lindsey

Evelyn Lindsey, 82, of Buena Vista, GA, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Magnolia Manor of Marion County in Buena Vista.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013, at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Reverend Raymond Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 27, 2013, from 6-8 PM.

Ms. Lindsey was born January 2, 1931, in Jackson County, FL, to William Elbert and Amber Lee Brock Pittman. She was Baptist by faith and attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She had been living in the area for the past 8 years. She had been employed as an Office Manager with Gateway Transportation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James R. Lindsey.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William Howard and Peggie Gail Hamilton of Buena Vista,GA; by two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Joan and Jacob L. Kaplan of Buena Vista, GA, and Marcia and Wayne Sanders of Ardmore, AL. 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these arrangements.
