Geneva Smith

Mrs. Geneva Smith, 71, of Ellaville, passed away on March 11, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA.  Funeral services will be private.

Mrs. Smith was born August 10, 1948 in Americus, Georgia to the late Leslie Smith and Iona Howell Smith.  She worked at Harvey’s for several years before her retirement.  Mrs. Smith enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her dogs like children.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Eloise Reed.      

Survivors include her husband, Billy Jones of Ellaville; a niece, Sherry Cannon of Ellaville; great nieces and nephews, Danielle Bailey (Dylan) of Ellaville and Chas Cannon (Hannah) of Americus; and two great-great-nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Sumter County Humane Society, 108 Industrial Blvd, Americus, GA 31719.
