George Rickey Lyle

Mr. George Rickey Lyle, 65, of Mauk, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at his residence.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Ft. Perry Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Long officiating. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service time.

Mr. Lyle was born February 2, 1955, in Decatur, AL, to Clarence Nolan and Parlee Martin Lyle. He was a member of Ft. Perry Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. A licensed minister, Mr. Lyle enjoyed reading the Bible and camping and fishing. He was employed as a locksmith at Callaway Gardens for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wayne and Meryl.

He survived by his wife of 43 years, Pamela Jo Lyle of Mauk, GA; a son, David Lee Lyle (Jenita) of Huntsville, AL; a daughter, Tonya Marie Boutwell (Donnie) of Hinesville, GA; brothers, Clarence Ray Lyle (Brenda) of Kay Springs, AL, William W. Lyle of New Market, AL, and Billy Lyle of Huntsville, AL; a sister, Willadean Smitty of Huntsville, AL; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
