George Winston Vickery, Sr.

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. George Winston Vickery, Sr., age 63, Ellaville, GA, died Sunday, April 7, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oakland Church of God cemetery.  Rev. Tom Teate will officiate.

      Mr. Vickery was born June 13, 1949 in Tift County, Georgia and was the son of the late Sarah Smith Vickery and the late George Vickery. He worked in the mobile home industry and attended Hopewell United Methodist Church.

    Mr. Vickery is survived by his wife, Rita Vickery; one son, George Winston Vickery, Jr. and his fiancé, Whitney Smith of Ellaville; one daughter, Tracy Price and husband Wayne of Ellaville; one brother, George Cleo Vickery of Americus, GA; five sisters, Ann Brock of Ellaville, Sara Underwood of Ellaville, Callie Raybon of Americus, Glenda Bridier of Ellaville and Elvalena Howell of Ellaville. Seven grandchildren, Trey Price, Taylor Vickery, Sarah Morgan Vickery, Hannah Smith, Bailey Smith, Savannah Varnum, and Brantley Price also survive.

     Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
