Gerald Bender

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Gerald Bender, age 72, of Rupert, GA died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at The Oaks Nursing Home in Marshallville, GA. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Bender was born February 6, 1940 in Scranton, PA the son of Jeanette Cranston Bender and Edward Bender. He was a grocery store produce manager in Oglethorpe, GA.

Mr. Bender is survived by his wife, Joyce Fleming Bender; one daughter, Lisa Marie Bender of Americus, GA; two brothers, Edward Bender of Inverness, FL and William Bender of Pataskala, Ohio. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Mallory Tallent, Shelby Tallent, Chelsey Tallent, Markus Bender, and Luke Bender. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bender was preceded in death by a son, Robert Charles Bender and two brothers, Donald Bender and Robert Bender.
