Gertrude Wall

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Gertrude Wall, age 82, of Ellaville, GA died early Friday morning, July 4, 2008 at Montezuma Health Care in Montezuma, GA. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 6, 2008 in the Ellaville Cemetery. Elder Dennis Johnson will officiate.

Mrs. Wall was born June 8, 1926 in Schley County the daughter of Hattie Sorrells Johnson and Joseph Riley Johnson. She was retired from the Schley County School System and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wall, in 1991.

Survivors include her son, Larry Wall of Ellaville, three brothers, George Johnson, Lewis Johnson, and Alvin Johnson, all of Americus, three sisters, Jeanette Baxter of Hawkinsville, GA, Margie Harden of Americus, GA, and Helen Walker of Ellaville, GA, four grandchildren, Anthony Wall, Ann Battle and her husband Tim, Amy Usry and her husband Rodney, and Adam Wall and his wife Charlotte, all of Ellaville. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Kimberly Tyler, Blake Battle, Hannah Usry, Brett Usry, Morgan Pittman, Dylan Wall, and Andrew Wall.

Visitation will be held 6:00 till 8:00 PM, July 5, 2008 at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA.
