ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Goldie Albritton Young, age 60, of 120 Dunn Road, Moultrie, GA died Sunday morning, January 24, 2010 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, GA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ellaville Cemetery. Rev. Sidney Jones will officiate.
Mrs. Young was born March 27, 1949 in Macon County, GA, the daughter of June Evelyn and Homer Lee Bellew. She was a truck driver and escorted modular homes. Mrs. Young was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Young is survived by her husband, Daryl Young; one daughter, Amy Albritton Weaver and husband Melvin of Ideal, GA; two sons, Michael Albritton and wife Hope of Pavo, GA, Christopher Albritton and wife Tricia of Cleveland, TN; one brother, John Dale Bellew of Moultrie, GA; and one sister, Mary Margaret Smith of Moultrie, GA. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Alyssa Albritton, Kaitly Albritton, Christopher Albritton II, Michael Albritton, Randy Sullivan, Jordan Sullivan; and two nephews, Anthony Dale Smith and Andrew Donald Smith. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her first husband, Phillip E. Albritton.
Pallbearers will include John Mark Weaver, Paul Weaver, Joe Weaver, Nicky Hortman, Lance Reagan, Ernie Bellew, Don Smith, Tommy Jones, Sam Roland, Bobby Jones, and Greg Phillips. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home.
