ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Gregory Rogers Moore (Greg), age 51, passed away on July 3, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11:00AM at Ellaville United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Poole and Rev. Lowell Layman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ellaville City Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
Mr. Moore was born April 22, 1963 in Crisp County, GA to Mr. Edd Rogers Moore and Glenda Johnson Moore. He worked at Georgia Power for 33 years as a Lineman and then as a Troubleman. Mr. Moore was a member of IBEW and Citizens of Georgia Power, worked with the Boy Scouts and was a coach at the Ellaville/Schley Co. Rec. Dept. He was also a member of Ellaville United Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Toni Streetman Moore of Ellaville, one son, Carson Moore, one daughter and son in law, Lezlie and Nigel Poole of Americus, 2 grandchildren, Emory Poole and Jasper Poole, 2 sisters, Terry Fast and husband, David of Marietta, GA, Jillian Moore and husband, Craig Knight of New York City, father and mother in law, Burnette and Carol Streetman, sister in law, Karen Cook and husband, Charlie of Americus , brother in law, Dariel Streetman and wife, Erin of Ellaville, 5 nephews, Josh Fast, Christian Knight, Ben Cook, Zach Cook, and Garrett Streetman, 5 nieces, Jordan Fast, Addie Cook, Sarah Cook, Katy Streetman, and Emily Streetman; special friends, Johnny and Teresa Owens and their son, John Thomas Owens.
Active pallbearers will include Jeff Kerr, Tim Jones, Brian Espy, Joe McMickle, Greg Childs, and Dendy Cromer. Honorary pallbearers will be Toby Moore, Dale Moore, Darrell Moore, Jeff Carroll, Ronnie Beckworth, Royce Moore, Larry Moore, Charles Arnold, Autry Moore, Wayne Moore and Mr. Moore’s Georgia Power coworkers.
