Harlan Selle

BUENA VISTA, GA --- 1SG (Ret.) Harlan Lester Selle, Jr., 68, of Buena Vista, GA, died Sunday, September 7, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at 2:00PM at Preston Cemetery with Reverend Chris Hess officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 8, 2014, from 6-8PM.

1SG (Ret.) Selle was born August 25, 1946, to Harlan L. Sr. and Pearl O’Neal Selle. He was a decorated war veteran having served several tours in the Vietnam War, and was deployed to Korea, Germany, Australia and many other locations. He retired from the United States Army as a First Sergeant.  He was an avid fisherman and a member of The Good ‘Ol Boy Bass Club. He was a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Judy Tyler Selle of Buena Vista, GA; and four children, Sheri Selle Green (Charles) of Butler, GA, Christopher W. Selle of Columbus, GA, Michael L. Horton of Crawford, AL, and Angie Horton Grimsley (Harold) of Buena Vista, GA; three grandchildren, Tara Kirksey, Kimberly Kirksey, and Jamie Grimsley; a great-grandchild, Emma Ingram; and special friends, Kenneth and Betsy Bishop.
