Harold Eugene McElveen

Harold Eugene McElveen, 83, of Buena Vista, GA, died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at his residence.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Hess officiating.

Mr. McElveen was born August 8, 1930, in Savannah, GA, to Paul and Caroleigh McElveen. He was Methodist by faith and had been self-employed as the owner of Matt’s Handy Pantry in Buena Vista.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Caroll McElveen, Marvin Clifford McElveen, William Claude McElveen, and George Gordon McElveen.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Heather Chambers of Lake Park, GA; by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jack Waters of Hinesville, GA; by a sister, Elizabeth Gregory of Jacksonvile, FL; and by 6 Grandchildren.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these arrangements.
