Helen Owens Blomeyer

Mrs. Helen Owens Blomeyer, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center.  A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA.

Mrs. Blomeyer was born November 20, 1952 in Butler, GA to John Thomas Owens and Virginia Nell Weaver Owens.  Mrs. Blomeyer was retired from the Marion County Health Department where she worked as a Registered Nurse for 32 years. She was also a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves having served 12 years as a nurse. She enjoyed spending time outdoors around the pool, gardening or driving her tractor. Mrs. Blomeyer also loved painting ceramics and traveling.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Charles Owens.
